You cannot have more management reps on your committee than employee reps. 50% can be management reps and 50% can be employee reps or you can have more employee reps than management reps (for example 2 managers 4 employees is good). It is recommended to also train 1 to 2 alternates. All JHSC members must be certified and trained. A WorkSafeBC may require for your business to have more than 4 members depending upon the size of your business and number of departments.

Our online 8 hour JHSC online training BC course, will assist employers and participants on how to start-up a committee at your workplace, how to effectively implement a JHSC, duties and functions of members and as a team, and the OHSR regulation. A Minimum of 4 members must be present at your monthly JHSC meeting. There is NO TIME LIMIT TO COMPLETE OUR ONLINE COURSE and is SELF PACED. Students will study the 8 hour material on their own time. The online JHSC course is a self study online course and is self paced/no time limit and does not include a live instructor. After the course all participants will be emailed their certificates. Each participant will either require access to their own PC or if you have multiple participants you can situate them in a room and project us from a audio/visual set up. All required worksafebc 8 hour course material is covered within this time frame. Questioning and answering period during this course is possible as it is a LIVE course with an actual instructor. The classroom JHSC training course is a full day course (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) and is taught LIVE by our instructor via zoom (virtual training).
